The French Marigold, scientifically known as *Tagetes patula*, is a popular flowering plant known for its vibrant colors and ease of cultivation. It belongs to the Asteraceae family and is widely grown in gardens and landscapes for its ornamental value.
Marigolds thrive in full sun and prefer well-drained soil. They can tolerate some light shade but will produce fewer flowers.
Seed Sowing:
1. Fill the seedling tray with good media and sprinkle with water.
2. Lightly press the media in each plug of the seedling tray to make a hole.
3. Place the seed in each hole then lightly cover the seeds with the media.
4. Sprinkle again with water.
Transplanting:
1. Dig a hole in the soil and plant the seedlings.
2. Immediately Irrigate or water the seedlings after transplanting.
3. To minimize transplanting stress, plant during cloudy days late in the afternoon.
