Red amaranth (Amaranthus cruentus) is a leafy vegetable and grain plant.
It is known for its vibrant red or purple leaves and edible seeds.
Seed Sowing:
1. Fill the seedling tray with good media and sprinkle with water.
2. Lightly press the media in each plug of the seedling tray to make a hole.
3. Place the seed in each hole then lightly cover it with the media.
4. Sprinkle again with water.
Transplanting:
1. Dig a hole in the soil and plant the seedlings.
2. Immediately irrigate or water the seedlings after transplanting.
3. To minimize transplanting stress, plant during cloudy days late in the afternoon.
