The Sunflower (Helianthus annuus) is a tall, vibrant flowering plant known for its large, bright yellow blooms that resemble the sun.
Sunflowers thrive in full sunlight and prefer well-drained soil. They are often grown in gardens, fields, and as ornamental plants.
Seed Sowing:
1. Fill the seedling tray with good quality media and sprinkle with water.
2. Lightly press the media in each plug of the seedling tray to make a hole.
3. Place the seed in each hole then lightly cover with the media.
4. Sprinkle again with water.
Transplanting:
1. Dig a hole in the soil and plant the seedlings.
2. Immediately Irragate or water the seedlings after transplanting.
3. To mininimize transplanting stress, plant during cloudy days late in the afternoon.
